Accepting a position in the rad tech program at this school was an absolute nightmare. The program and the school are incredibly unorganized and unprofessional. Financial aid completely lied to me to get me to sign up and as I’m being told multiple other students have had this same experience. The entire financial aid department is running a scam and taking advantage of students that don’t know much about how student loans and tuition work. I worked with Wendy McDaniels who lied to me about the amount of money I would owe come graduation. She made me feel as if I didn’t sing up immediately my spot would be given away and talked me into signing up by telling me I would only owe a fraction of the price I will now be paying off for YEARS. The head of the financial aid department Carmen peck is also very difficult to deal with. She’s rude, disrespectful, and belittling. When dealing with my situation upon graduation she said she would see what she could do since one of her employees mislead me to get me to sign up. After she spoke with the higher ups of Dorsey she came back and told me they all said “that probably didn’t happen and that they can’t help me” immediately it became very cl

Like many of the other recent reviews, if I could give this school 0 stars, I would. It is very evident that this is a money grab school that will do anything to charge you more money but have no explanation what the money is going to. Carmen Peck, specifically, in the financial aid department is one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. The queen of telling you information, and unless you got in writing from her, she will go back on her word immediately. She is very unwelcoming and has a nasty attitude 24/7. Never have I, or anyone that I’ve spoken to, has ever had a good experience with her. The entire financial aid department is completely unorganized all of the time unless you are there to spend money, then apparently everyone can help you. But overall, Carmen, who claimed to be the head of the department, in my opinion, needs to be reconsidered. She is doing the school no good at all. I did not have one single positive outcome from this school. Our diplomas were on a cheap piece of paper that didn’t have our program and degree completely spelled out. Unfortunately our program has failed the last 4 classes that have graduated from it. This is shown by the pass rates on the boar

If I could give zero stars, I would WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. I WENT THERE AND DID THE ELECTRICAL PROGRAM FOR ONE YEAR I GRADUATED ON NOVEMBER 2023 AFTER PROMISING ME THEY WOULD GET ME A JOB FOR MONTHS. I WAS NOT ONLY DODGED BY THE CAREER SERVICE TEAM, BUT I WAS ALSO TOLD TO APPLY FOR APPRENTICE JOBS ON INDEED WHAT KIND OF PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTION WOULD TELL YOU TO APPLY ON INDEED FOR NON-APPRENTICE JOBS OR THEY TELL YOU APPLY ON INDEED FOR THIS SPECIFIC JOB OR THAT SPECIFIC JOB AND THEN YOU FIND OUT THAT THE JOB IS NOT THERE AND WHEN YOU GO TO THEM TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JOB THEY’RE LIKE OH IT’S GONE LAST I SPOKE WITH A CAREER SERVICE TEAM REPRESENTATIVE. I WAS WORKING AS A MAINTENANCE MAKER TECHNICIAN FOR A APARTMENT COMPLEX NOT WORKING AS A ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICE AND AT THIS POINT, THEY WERE TRYING TO GET ME OUT OF THEIR CASE SO HE KEPT ON ASKING ME. WHAT JOB ARE YOU WORKING RIGHT NOW? WHAT JOB ARE YOU WORKING RIGHT NOW AND WHEN I TOLD HIM MY JOB INVOLVES CHANGING LIGHTBULBS NOT DOING ACTUAL ELECTRICITY WORK JUST SIMPLE LIGHTBULB CHANGE, SIMPLE DRYWALL SIMPLE PAINTING HE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME STOP ANSWERING MY CALLS STOP SENDING ME EMAILS AND STOPPED TRYING TO HELP

The staff here is very kind & helpful! Specifically April in Admissions, she was there every step of the way & made me feel extremely supported while navigating the application process to their program as well as afterwards. She is a great resource & always super kind about answering my (many) questions or providing guidance!
